CENTURY CYCLE CHALLENGE Charity Cycle Ride, 2nd May ‘09 - from Paul Ashberry (Sloggy)
On Saturday 2nd May, together with three other OWFRC members and former players, Michael Flint, Mathew Sellicks and Mark Stanger, I will be taking part in the Century Cycle Challenge, to raise funds for two cancer charities.
There are approx 150 riders taking part in the event, which is organised by James Sellicks (another former Wyggs player), whose daughter has leukemia.
Riders will be setting off from Neville Holt, in groups at staggered start times, cycling to Burnham Deepdale in Norfolk, a distance of 103 miles.
There are four nominated charities for the event, however our group is raising funds for two specific cancer charities, The Bone Cancer Research Trust & Jemima Invites.
